The World Usability Day comes to Karlsruhe for the second time

On 14 November 2019 the World Usability Day will take place for the second time in Karlsruhe. This year's motto is: "Designing for the future we want".

The importance of usability and user experience (UX), i. e. the usability and operability of products, websites or smartphone apps, has risen sharply in recent years. The World Usability Day (WUD) aims to connect research, industry, education, administration and users to discuss findings and achievements in the field of usability and user experience. Therefore, every year, on the second Thursday in November, this worldwide day of action takes place with more than 200 events in over 40 countries.

Karlsruhe also participates at the WUD

In addition to Karlsruhe, 21 other cities or regions in the German-speaking area are participating as venues. The WUD in Karlsruhe is organized by EXXETA AG and Usertimes Solutions GmbH. The event will take place in the Fleischmarkthalle in the Altes Schlachthaus in Karlsruhe.

The 200 participants await exciting lectures and workshops examining various aspects of this year's motto "Designing for the future we want". These include topics such as intelligent user interfaces, experience with alternative organisational forms in design agencies and best practices in digital design.

"User experience is a central success factor in software development. With the WUD, we want to give the topic of user experience design more visibility in Karlsruhe and offer experts and interested people a forum for exchange," says Uwe Thimel, Creative Director at EXXETA and co-organizer of the WUD in Karlsruhe. "With the WUD, we have set up an important event for the regional UX scene last year. Due to the great demand, we will be adding a significant boost this year: more speakers, bigger location and still the best networking", says co-organizer and Usertimes Managing Director Jonas Fuchs.
